Instructions – How to take two blood samples for Remote Treatment

Important: The lancet is for single use only (1 click). Do not use it if the purple cap has already been removed, as the device may no longer be sterile. A built-in safety feature ensures it can only be used once.

Using the Accu-Chek Safe-T-Pro Plus Lancing Device

Step 1: Remove the sterile cap

• Twist off the purple cap.

• Only do this when you're ready to use the device.

Step 2: Set the penetration depth

• The device has three depth settings to suit different skin types and sample sizes.

• After removing the cap, choose the desired depth by turning the adjuster.

• We recommend using the highest depth setting (2.3 mm)

Step 3: Collect your blood sample

• Press the device firmly against the ear lobe (which is typically painless), or alternatively, use the inside of the index finger.

• Push and release the button to activate the lancet.

• Use the cotton ear bud provided to collect the blood. You may need to gently massage the ear lobe to help the blood flow.

• Please ensure there is blood on both ends of the ear bud — we require two samples

After collecting your samples

• Place the ear bud into the zip-lock bag provided — please use one bag per person.

• Clearly write your full name on the outside of the bag with your address.

• Place the sealed zip-lock bag into the pre-paid envelope included in your kit and pop it into the post.
